The Appellate Section's Publications Committee is responsible for 3 different publications — the Section's Column in The Florida Bar Journal, The Record, and The Florida Appellate Practice Guide.

The Record is the Section's flagship publication. It is provided to each Section member via online delivery. The Record serves as both a news source for events and people of interest to appellate practitioners and a substantive resource on various topics that relate to appellate practice and procedure. The Record includes articles profiling each new appellate judge, important changes in appellate rules or procedure, and information on how Section members can become more involved in the Section.

The Section is permitted to publish a column in each of the 10 issues of the Florida Bar Journal. Section members write and edit these columns. The Appellate Section columns focus on various issues relating to appellate practice and procedure in both civil and criminal cases. These articles are mostly academic in nature and are meant to educate both appellate practitioners and trial or general practitioners about a particular issue of importance in appellate practice. The Florida Bar Journal columns are also available on Westlaw as a resource for legal research on appellate issues.

The Florida Appellate Practice Guide is a "bible" of appellate practice designed to help both experienced and novice appellate practitioners with the practical information needed to handle an appeal in any Florida appellate court, including each District Court of Appeal, the Florida Supreme Court, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. The Guide was originally published in book format and is now available exclusively online as a benefit to Section members. It includes information and links regarding court procedures for briefs, motions, oral argument, court filing requirements, and other information used in appellate practice. It also includes an "Inside the Courts" series of articles, written primarily by staff attorneys and clerks with input from judges. This series profiles the internal procedures and workings of Florida's appellate courts.

The Appellate Section Publications Committee meets in person prior to each meeting of the Section's Executive Council. Any member of the Section is welcome to join the Publications Committee and to participate as a writer or editor.
