There are big events coming up that you do not want to miss at the
Annual Meeting of The Florida Bar at the
Orlando World Center Marriott, on Thursday, June 26th.
8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Committee Meetings (Grand XII)
The CLE, Publications, Programs, Legislative, and Pro Se Handbook committees will be meeting at 8:00 a.m. The meeting is currently scheduled for Grand XII. The committee meetings provide their members with the opportunity to report back on various projects as well as plan for the future. If you are interested in the work of any of these committees, please join us. You do not have to be a member of the committee to join in. Your participation is always welcome.
9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Executive Council/Annual Meeting (Crystal L&K)
The annual meeting of the section provides an opportunity for all section members to make their voices heard. In addition to the regular business of the section, this year's annual meeting will focus on proposed changes to the section's bylaws which were published in the spring issue of The Record and the slate of new officers and executive committee members proposed by the nominating committee. The meeting is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. in Crystal L&K. All Appellate Section members are encouraged to attend.

3:30 - 4:30 p.m. Discussion With the Supreme Court (Crystal C&D )
The Appellate Practice Section's annual signature events include a Discussion with the Florida Supreme Court on Thursday, June 26, 2003 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is truly a unique and wonderful opportunity that the Court graciously extends to the Florida Bar and the public to engage in a lively and informal dialogue.
9:00 - 11:00 p.m. Dessert Reception and Awards New Orleans/New York
Latein the evening, after all the meetings, luncheons, receptions and dinners of the Florida Bar's busy Annual Meeting, the Section cordially invites you and your family to enjoy the Annual Dessert Reception in honor of Florida's judiciary. Feast on a bountiful array of specialty desserts, cordials and gourmet coffeebeginning at 9 p.m. Then, at 10:00 p.m., please join us as we honor distinguished members of the bench and bar with our annual presentation of awards.
