The Record is now on the Section Website, via email PDF and hard copy. The Record is actively welcoming your articles and suggestions. The deadline for The Record Winter Issue is January 30, 2007. The deadline for The Record Spring Issue is March 30, 2007.

Appellate Practice Pro Se Handbook
in its Final Stages
The Appellate Practice Pro Se Handbook is in its final stages of editing. The Handbook will assist self-represented litigants with the appellate process. | The Section hosted the 2006 Hot Topics in Appellate Practice CLE this past November. The CLE covered topics such as Access to Court Records, Judicial Independence, Appellate Mediation, Proposals for Settlement, and Federal and Civil Law updates. The monthly lunchtime telephone seminars continue to be well-received and will be continued. Check the Section’s website for the schedule for the upcoming lunchtime telephone seminars and the directions for signing up for the entire series. They are held the third Tuesday of every month, starting at 12:10 p.m., for 50 minutes, ending at 1:00 p.m. These CLEs are conducted once each month, except for June and December. The next telephonic CLE will be held on January 16, 2007.
The 2007 Appellate Certification Review Seminar will be held on February 23, 2007, in Miami, Florida. Check the Section’s website for more information. Additionally, if you are interested in board certification, please check the Florida Bar’s website for details regarding the requirements.
